GRID TEAMS winner of the Digital Green Growth Prize

GRID TEAMS, a project supported by Télécom ParisTech in the Smart Grids sector, is the 2011 winner of the Digital Green Growth Prize in the “Research” category.

This unique project proposes to boost digital green growth through an energy consumption reduction program based on digital technologies. It brings together the worlds of the environment, scientific research and business, including an innovative young start-up GridPocket, which was incubated at Télécom ParisTech. Initially recognized and commended by experts in the field, the Grid Teams project has won the support of the entire energy sector for its energy efficiency!

This prize recognizes the efforts of Alexandre Delanoë, sociologist at Télécom ParisTech, and Philip Gluszak, founder and president of GridPocket, working as part of a team led by Laura Draetta, senior lecturer at Télécom ParisTech. This team is currently working to implement an ICT and sustainable development process at the Institut Télécom - Télécom ParisTech. Implemented at the Sophia Antipolis campus, the project is therefore based in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.

The prize was awarded on 23 November 2011 by Claudie Haigneré, president of the judging panel and president of Universcience.
