In September, more than 50 students from 16 different countries participated in the integration period which lasted three weeks for the Master of Science and 1½ weeks for dual-degree students and auditors.
A program including many educational activities help them gain confidence in their French and discover and feel at home at the school (presentation of the Master of Enginerring and the student union), and they also get to know the neighbourhood and Paris. The activities were led by a team of eight professors of French as a foreign language, French as a second language and humanities education. Like every year, the rally at Butte aux Cailles was well received, as was the visit to the Musée des Arts et Métiers.

An international welcome evening, "the French village", was organized jointly by the International Department, the Languages and Cultures Department and the student union. Students were encouraged to present their regions and the evening proved very useful in welcoming and integrating foreign students this year.
Each degree requires a different language level, and can be integrated under specific terms.
