Integration Courses

In coordination with the International Relations Division, the Master of Engieering Division and the Students' Union, the French as a foreign language section (FLE) participates actively in receiving foreign students and in helping them adapt to the school.

Each year, during the month of September, two intensive courses are organised offering a variety of linguistic and intercultural activities: the Integration Month for the Master of Science and the Integration Week for dual degree students and auditors.

These courses provide a good transition with the start of your scientific education here and will help you get to know the school and its environment, acquire confidence in French and meet other students.

Etudiants en rallye d'orientation dans Paris

Integration Month is a three week long intensive course of French as a foreign language (FLE) and Human Education (FH).

Its goal is to help you familiarize yourself with the school and the Parisian environment, to understand and communicate more easily and to acquire vocabulary needed for daily life.

Educational activities are organised at the School and in Paris, including a visit to the Musée des Arts et Métiers.

During the third week of the course, we join up with the Integration Week organised for students taking a dual degree and auditors.

Integration Week - double degree and auditors

Rue de la Butte aux Cailles

During Integration Week, the educational activities of the FLE section are conducted with the presentations of the School and the Master of Engineering department and the activities organised by the Students' Union (BDE).

These activities will give you a chance to meet students from different countries and in different programs while gaining confidence in French. They will help you get around Paris and discover the neighbourhood in which you will live and study. A cultural rally is organised each year in the area around the School, in the Butte aux Cailles quarter.
