French as a foreign language

Oui, je parle français

Students can also follow French as a Foreign Language (FLE) as a regular class throughout the year. Telecom ParisTech's language department offers many fun classes specifically created for foreign students who need to catch up on their French grammar, vocabulary or oral/written expression.

FLE also means:

  • Helping foreign students feel at home at the school
  • Intercultural exchanges with students from different countries
  • Cultural discovery activities: Butte aux Cailles rally, photo exhibit on Paris, celebrating Epiphany, etc.
  • Preparing for an internship in France (CV and job interview)

It is also possible to choose another foreign language from among 11 languages on offer : English of course, but also Arabic, Chinese, German, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese (Brazilian), Russian, Spanish, and even French sign language ! More on the languages offer

You can participate in international languages clubs such as Debating, French Theatre, English Theatre , Improvisation, etc.

There is also a wide range of personal skills and general culture classes - including live opera - to choose from !
