The project kicks off with a personal development day to foster the creativity and listening abilities of students, completed by visits to research centers and talks from ParisTech teacher-researchers, during which they learn more about the digital field.
Within the framework of that year’s general theme, students work in small groups of seven or eight people on a topic of their choice. The scope of the project needs to be determined in line with available human and material resources.
The students are supervised by a teacher-researcher who acts as their tutor. This role is very different to the one the teachers usually perform. They are there to support the project and the students. Other teacher-researchers are identified as experts that the students may consult at any stage of the project. The teacher-researchers therefore also work in groups as part of a cross-disciplinary approach.

The next stage
The groups are asked to technically define how they intend to put their project into practice, before moving on to the practical stage. At the end of the project, they take part in a large-scale demonstration assessed by a panel of judges, followed by an awards ceremony.
We look forward to seeing you on 24 April 2012!
