Health care system

The School provides social services for students. A student registered at Telecom ParisTech must have French public health system. It is necessary to fill out a printed form. It is strongly recommended to take out a Student Insurance; these are easily available with student Mutual Insurance companies. They provide comprehensive social protection for students.

Registration at French public health system (for student) is compulsory. Depending the varies circumstances. If, between 1 October and following September 30:

• you are between 16 and 20 years old , registration for the French public health system is compulsory and free.
• you are between 20 and 28 years old , registration for the  French public health system is compulsory and must be paid for.

You have choice between two public health system and health insurance centers

The national insurance contribution  for students is 203 € for the academic year 2011-2012.
Your registration for the French public health system will be effective from 1 October to the following September 30. It is the center of your choice that will process the refund of your medical costs during the year.
