Telecom ParisTech is part of the Institut Telecom, a major stakeholder in the information society. The Institut Telecom is a European benchmark in terms of higher education, research and innovation in information and communication science and technology.
It comprises four major schools:
and two branches: Télécom Lille1, EURECOM. The Institut Telecom also includes seven associate schools: Télécom Saint-Etienne, the ENSPS in Strasbourg, the ENSEIRB MATMECA in Bordeaux, Sup'Com Tunis, INP-ENSEEIHT in Toulouse, ESIAL in Nancy, ENSIEE in Évry.
The Institut Telecom and its EURECOM branch received Institut Carnot certification in 2006 for the quality of its research partnerships.
