Data Science Game 2015 is a student contest organised by ParisTech (initially it was called the Student Big Data Challenge). There are 20 teams of 4 students and everyone participates in the competition.
The international character is realised by the presence of ten teams from eight countries: Germany (Universität Mannheim), United States (Princeton), Italy (Università degli Studi Milan, Università Sapienza Rome, Università di Padova), India (Indian Institute of Technology Delhi), Ireland (University College Dublin), the Netherlands (Universiteit Amsterdam), Russia (Moscow State University), and the United Kingdom (Imperial College London).
The ten French teams come from ENS Cachan, ENSIMAG Grenoble INP, INSA Toulouse, Toulouse School of Economics, Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse 3, Université Pierre et Marie Curie Paris 6 and four ParisTech Grandes écoles: ENSAE ParisTech, Mines ParisTech, Polytechnique and Télécom ParisTech. The competition takes place on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 June at Chantilly, in the “Les Fontaines” castle, which is owned by Cap Gemini who is the sponsor of this competition along with Google, datascience.net and eki::metrics. Competition schedule .
From now on, a friendly “pre-competition” is taking place between the teams to enable them to become familiar with the tools and data types. The slates will be wiped clean for the competition on 20 and 21 June. The scores can be followed here .
