I received my Diploma in Electrical Engineering (July 2002) from the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of Damascus University, Syria. I received my M.Sc. degree (September 2004) and my Ph.D. degree (November 2007) from École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications, France. Between 2008 and 2017, I worked as a Research Scientist in the Networks and Computer Science Department at Telecom ParisTech (formerly ENST), where I currently hold the position of Associate Professor.

My current research interests are in the general areas of Smart Grids and Internet of Things with special emphasis on demand response, demand side management, resource allocation and scheduling.
