... the largest conference in the world on human-computer interaction, but also one of the largest international computing conferences. This event brought together more than 3,000 industry and research professionals who attended from 27 April to 2 May 2013 at the Palais des Congrès in Paris.
As “champion sponsor”, the Computer Science and Networks Department had welcomed the 220 members of the Programme Committee to Télécom ParisTech in December 2012, who had started to analyse the papers very selectively (20% were retained out of 1,963 articles submitted).
This important role of our teams in the organisation of CHI2013 illustrates the growing reputation of the Graduate School in this area and the very close involvement of teams from the Computer Science and Networks Department, in particular the IC2 Human-Computer Interface group (Interaction, Cognition and Complexity Group) in the various committees of CHI 2013 (James Eagan was Chair Poster ; Eric Lecolinet was PC Meeting Liaison ; James Eagan, Eric Lecolinet and Yves Guiard were part of the Reading Committee). Four papers by the department’s researchers had been selected.
Two departments from the School took part in the conference and workshops: the Computer Science and Networks Department (IC2 group) and the Economic and Social Sciences Department (INTERACT group).
