François Hollande made a speech on 26 April, during his visit to the Franco-Chinese ParisTech institute in Shanghai: “ ...I welcome the teachers – whose reputation I know – and I want to speak to the students. To the Chinese students, who today can look forward to this cooperation with ParisTech, since we will be able to share our knowledge, but also to produce joint degrees, with the opportunity for these students to use their knowledge here in China or elsewhere in the world, and especially in France.”

During his visit to China on 25 and 26 April 2013, François Hollande, the French President, inaugurated the joint ParisTech-Jiaotong campus at Shanghai on 26 April.
Each year, this institute will accept a new intake of 100 students. Once these students graduate, they will be qualified to join the existing 3,000 members of the ParisTech China Alumni association in the country.
It is with this rich network of diverse backgrounds which all have a knowledge of France or French in common and a sensitivity to Sino-French relations that the ParisTech China Alumni network wishes to join forces with UBIFRANCE, the French agency for international business development, to promote French economic interests in China under the patronage of Monsieur François Hollande, the President of France, and Madame Nicole Bricq, the Minister of Foreign Trade.
Against a background of increasing economic development between France and China and the growing presence of French companies in China, this network represents a wealth of support for bilateral trade and will facilitate the arrival of French companies in China with the support of UBIFRANCE.
